Artwork > South Florida Cultural Consortium

The South Florida Cultural Consortium is a regional initiative in support of the arts in Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe and Palm Beach counties. The Consortium works to foster cooperation across the South Florida region to help develop and promote the work of artists and the audiences that they serve. Each year, more than 300 artists who live and work throughout the five counties submit their applications for consideration to the SFCC’s Grant for Visual and Media Artists. Curated by Véronique Côté from the 2024 winner of this prestigious fellowship, Mangroves to Masterpieces transports the viewer from the perceived notion that Florida is solely a tourist destination, into a deeper understanding of the cultures, contradictions, values, identities, and environments that makes our state so interesting.
